Manchester United Fans Lose Patience with Andre Onana after Disastrous Performance

Manchester United fans have run out of patience with Andre Onana after the goalkeeper’s disastrous display in the defeat to Brighton.

Onana’s Errors Lead to Defeat

On the evening of January 19, Onana made critical errors leading to Brighton’s second and third goals, resulting in a humiliating 1-3 loss for Man United at Old Trafford. The goalkeeper failed to come out to intercept a cross from Kaoru Mitoma for Brighton’s opener, and later let a low shot slip through his hands, allowing Georginio Rutter to seal the victory.

Fans Express Frustration

Manchester United supporters, no strangers to witnessing their goalkeeper’s costly blunders, have seemingly lost all patience with Onana.

One fan, Hoang Cam, expressed his anger at Onana’s performance, stating: “Onana should leave MU; we have endured enough.”

Another individual with the username Thanh Danh bluntly commented: “Circus show.”

Humorously, fan Nguyen Duc Tri remarked: “Well, the goalkeeper is good at playing with his feet, but when it comes to using his hands, it’s unclear.”

Meanwhile, Thoi Khuong sharply stated: “It’s best to remove Onana from the lineup; he plays like an amateur goalkeeper.”

Manchester United’s Tough Road Ahead

Brighton has added to the woes of Ruben Amorim, who has only secured three wins in the Premier League since taking charge in November. The Portuguese manager has struggled to make a significant impact in his first few months at the helm, with much work still to be done to turn things around. The Red Devils, currently in 13th place, are at risk of ending the season with their lowest-ever Premier League finish.

Following another setback in the Premier League, Manchester United will look to secure points away to Fulham, a team in good form, next weekend.

The Cottagers will pose a significant challenge to Amorim’s side, having already taken points from Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool this season. The match against Manchester United provides them with an opportunity to win and enhance their European qualification prospects. Whether Amorim will stick with Onana as the number one goalkeeper or opt for Altay Bayindir, who is in good form, remains uncertain.</p>
